A static website is normally a basic HTML page/pages.
You may ask your self why is it good to have a website designed in HTML.
Well the answer to that is a few good things. mainly Google LOVES html, and a good written website done in HTML will have a better chance in ranking high on Google than a dynamic page.
HTML pages are fairly simple to make and will cost less.
